AVENGING ANGELS:
The 12 angels of vengeance were among the first formed of Creation. Only six of these angels of vengeance are known by name--Satanel, Michael, Gabriel, Uriel, Raphael, and Nathanel. Some believe that the other six angels of vengeance were Suriel, Jehol, Zagagel, Akatriel, Metatron, and Yefefiah. Some also believe that these angels were led by Sammael or Samael, the true name of the Devil.
Some also believe in the Grigori, the name of the Watcher(s) which means "Those Who Watch" or "Those Who Are Awake" or "The Ones Who Never Sleep."
Joe Lane has seen evil before but never like this. This is an evil that not only destroys the body of the victims, but also the souls within the victims. The evil comes from a group of men known only as, "the Reapers." Each of them have taken the name of an angel of vengeance. They kill without any mercy or discrimination. And more disturbing, is the way that they kill the victims, mutilating the bodies while they are still alive. The remains of the victims are found discarded from Savannah, GA to Charleston, SC.
Lane is hired by a man whose two daughters have fell victim to the group. One daughter is dead, the other is in a mental ward. Working the case with the help of a profiler, Lane tracks the group of killers through the Riverfront of Savannah to the Battery of Charleston. Along the way, he will learn the meaning of true evil and it will test the nature of his soul.
At first, it appears to Lane that they kill without reason. He is wrong. The reason is there. He just has to find it before they kill him.
